OVERVIEW
predictiveIT is on the lookout for a career-driven, self-starting, and committed IT professional to join our team in the capacity of a network administrator, operating in a hybrid (remote/onsite) role. Your principal duty will be to serve as the primary outsourced IT specialist for a variety of small to medium-sized businesses located in and around the Tampa Bay metropolitan area. The objective of this role is to align the technology environments of your designated accounts with industry-leading standards. Your responsibilities will encompass conducting best practice reviews, executing installations and upgrades, offering escalated on-site support, and performing regular system maintenance.
This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work from home on Mondays and Fridays, provided there are no customer on-site requirements, after the successful completion of your initial 90-day period.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should ideally possess the following qualifications:
1. Educational Background : A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required. We may accept equivalent work experience instead of a degree.
2. Experience : Hands-on experience with network architecture, implementation, and troubleshooting. This includes familiarity with network hardware (routers, switches, etc.), protocols, and software.
3. Technical Skills : Proficiency in areas such as server virtualization, Windows-based server configuration (domain controller, DHCP, DNS, file servers), Cisco switches, ASA and Meraki, cloud applications, and infrastructure services.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
1. Certifications : Certifications like Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, CompTIA Network , or VMware Certified Professional - Network Virtualization (VCP-NV)
2. Soft Skills : Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work well in a team are essential. Network administrators often need to explain complex information in a way that non-technical staff can understand.
3. Continual Learning : The IT field is constantly evolving, so a commitment to ongoing learning and adaptation to new technologies and standards is important.
