What you will do:

• Use your advanced clinical skills to provide the highest level of care 

• Complete lab work as required

• Take radiographs and demonstrate radiology safety by example

• Perform intravenous catheter placement and collect samples for diagnostics 

• Use correct veterinary terminology to complete medical records and handover cases

• Perform medical calculations and help train others

• Give injections (IV, IM, SQ), induce and monitor anesthesia, perform intubation

• Perform dental prophylaxis, including dental extractions

• Fill prescriptions for patients and have an understanding of veterinary pharmacology

• Communicate with and educate clients/pet owners 

• Assist team as needed in tasks such as ordering supplies, inventory, etc. 

• Collaborate with veterinary team to provide the best care to patients

• Grow, learn, teach, and succeed in a happy work environment

The Right Fit

• You must be a credentialed veterinary technician with an active state license

• 3 years of professional experience in a small animal clinical setting

• Proficient in medical math calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, conversions, etc.)

• Enthusiastic team player with a patient and positive professional attitude

• Must be detail-oriented due to the high level of quality medicine

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask

• Excellent communication skills
