Clinical Counselor I Salary Range: $44,000-$55,000
Clinical Counselor II Salary Range: $52,000-$63,000

The primary function of the Clinical Counselor, Withdrawal Management is to provide support, monitoring, and treatment services to patients residing on the Withdrawal Management Unit. This support includes completing biopsychosocial assessments, documenting patient progress, facilitating groups, meeting with patients daily, discharge planning, and referrals to community resources.

Position Logistics
  • 37.5 hours weekly
  • Routinely Sunday - Thursday, weekend hours are required, flex schedule as approved by supervisor.
  • We are open to hiring as a Clinical Counselor I or II. Level and compensation will be commensurate with experience and education.
Education, Experience & Licensure Requirements
  • Clinical Counselor I: Bachelor's degree in human services type field
  • Clinical Counselor II: Master's degree in human services type field
  • Experience performing the essential duties of the position.
Position Overview
  • Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
  • Completes biopsychosocial assessments at time of admission.
  • Identifies, manages, and monitors patient progress towards completing medical protocol within the Withdrawal Management unit.
  • Maintains accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Assists patients with discharge planning, including linkages to community resources for further treatment, recovery support, and recovery housing.
  • Provides individual, family, group, and crisis intervention counseling services.
  • Participates in individual and group clinical supervision.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Certified as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor or Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor through the Addiction Professionals of South Carolina or ability to obtain certification within three years of hire. Certified in CPR/First Aid.
