Littleton Hospital Association is Hiring a Director of Perioperative Services Near Littleton, NH

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Vice President, Patient Care Services/CNO, the Director of Perioperative Services coordinates and supervises the activities of the Operating Room, Same Day Surgery, PACU, OR Scheduling, and Central Sterile. The Director is responsible to provide leadership, accountability and management of all staff. Directs, collaborates with and evaluates all assigned staff to ensure safe, effective, efficient, quality care. The ideal candidate will develop and maintain knowledge of current and best practices in the clinical and management operations to ensure optimal care of the patient. This position is key to support and contribute to the mission, vision, values and strategic initiatives of Littleton Regional Healthcare with a continuous focus on excellence in customer service and patient care delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Directs, collaborates with and evaluates all assigned staff to ensure safe, effective, efficient, quality care.
  • Establishes and maintains a professional relationship with patients, visitors, staff, physicians, and the community.
  • Assesses personal learning and professional growth needs and seeks educational opportunities to meet those needs.
  • Assumes responsibility for staffing and scheduling personnel in the Operating Room, Same Day Surgery, PACU, and Central Sterile.
  • Participates in the recruitment, selection, orientation, and retention of personnel.
  • Provides support to the staff and functions as a clinical resource.
  • Creates and monitors the capital and operational budget and makes adjustments as necessary to meet projections.
  • Facilitates educational needs of staff within each unit and assists in developing professional growth plans of the staff.
  • Facilitates efficient patient flow and work processes in all areas of responsibility.


Required Licensure/Certification Skills:

  • Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in New Hampshire or a Compact State.
  • Five years direct clinical experience in an operating room required.
  • BSN or commensurate years of experience required. Leadership experience strongly desired.
  • Masters degree preferred.
