PurposeBuilt Brands is Hiring an Operations Supervisor Near Kenosha, WI
The Operations Supervisor - Blending and Compression will be responsible for overseeing production staff and ensuring departmental safety and quality standards are maintained. In addition, this individual will help identify opportunities for improvement and drive implementation, and will be expected to flex working hours accordingly to interface with employees on both production shifts.
Job RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Ensure safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping standards are met.
* Participate in Safety RCA investigations and associated CAPA development.
* Responsible for the safe storage, handling and disposal of chemicals, including managing the segregation & disposal of hazardous wastes.
* Understanding quality requirements and serve as a resource for the quality assurance function for work-in-process and finished goods testing and approval as needed Participate in Quality RCA (Root Cause Analysis) investigations and associated CAPA development.
* Coach and mentor blending, compression employees to support organizational development. ?Discipline employees where appropriate.
* Train permanent and temporary employees in safety, quality, and basic equipment operation.
* Assess employee performance through routine audits and the employee review process.
* Track and monitor performance to departmental KPIs and intervene when performance deviates from standard.
* Interface with Master Scheduling and ensure the achievement of the production schedule.
* Perform and monitor inventory transactions within the ERP system to ensure inventory accuracy.
* Actively participate in and support plant improvement activities.

Knowledge, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
* Must have good listening and interpersonal communications skills
* Must be able to effectively drive production team to meet the departmental expectations
* Must understand methods and controls for chemical storage, handling & disposal, including hazardous materials.
* Certification or demonstrated experience with the successful application of LEAN and/or Six Sigma principles.
* Powder processing and/or tablet manufacturing desired
* English/Spanish bilingual preferred.
* Good oral and written communication skills
EDUCATION:? High School diploma or relevant work experience
EXPERIENCE:
* 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
* Experience with Syspro or similar ERP system a plus
Physical Requirements:
* Extended periods of standing.
* Frequently lifts and moves items weighing up to 60 pounds.
* May climb stairs multiple times per day.
