Position: Mental Health Counselor (Limited Permit)

Compensation: $35 per session (55 minutes) with additional benefits

Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Counselor with a limited permit to join our team. As a counselor, you will provide therapy to clients, employing culturally competent approaches that embrace a holistic perspective to tackle mental health challenges. Your work will be pivotal in managing mental illness and promoting mental health through holistic techniques, with a focus on empowering individuals from diverse communities, including the AAPI and South Asian communities.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver culturally competent therapy to clients, integrating holistic healing techniques to manage mental illness and promote mental health.
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Collaborate with a diverse team to enhance cultural competency and provide effective therapy tailored to various cultural identities.
• Actively participate in supervision sessions to continually enhance cultural competence and improve client outcomes.
• Offer support, guidance, and advice to clients, empowering them to navigate challenges related to mental health and cultural identity.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in mental health counseling.
• Limited Permit for mental health counseling in New York.
• Strong commitment to providing culturally sensitive therapy to diverse communities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a culturally diverse team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
