LPN- Licensed Practical Nurse
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to join our healthcare team. The LPN will provide excellent patient care, ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients. As an LPN, you will work closely with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality healthcare services. This role requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and monitoring vital signs.
2. Assist physicians and registered nurses in conducting diagnostic tests, treatments, and procedures.
3. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
4. Document patient information accurately and timely, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
5. Monitor and assess patient condition, promptly reporting any changes or abnormalities to the registered nurse or physician.
6. Educate and counsel patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment plans, and health maintenance.
7. Assist in the coordination and delivery of patient care, ensuring the efficient flow of patients through the healthcare facility.
8. Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
9. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards and guidelines in the provision of patient care.
10. Stay updated with current nursing practices, attending educational programs and workshops to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
1. Valid LPN licensure in the state of employment.
2. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
3. Proven experience as an LPN in a healthcare setting, preferably with expertise in a particular specialty (e.g., geriatrics, pediatrics, etc.).
4. Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and techniques.
5. Excellent clinical skills, including the ability to assess and respond to patient needs effectively.
6. Proficient in using medical equipment and tools.
7. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
8. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
9. Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and multitask effectively.
10. Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
11. Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
12. Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
