JOB TITLE: Technical/Engineering Project Manager

DEPARTMENT: Program Management

REPORTS TO: Director of Business Management

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Technical/Engineering Project Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating engineering projects/programs from initiation through delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain, quality assurance, operations, and stakeholders, to ensure that products are completed on time and within scope. The successful candidate will have strong technical acumen, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans that define project scope, objectives, timelines, resource requirements, and deliverables.
  2. Resource Management: Coordinate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure successful project execution.
  3. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure successful delivery.
  4. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to provide project updates, gather requirements, and address any concerns or issues.
  5. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with project goals.
  6. Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  7. Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and expenses, tracking variances and making adjustments as necessary to ensure financial objectives are met.
  8. Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and resources, ensuring that all changes are properly documented and approved.
  9. Project Documentation: Create and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant documentation.
  10. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field preferred.
  2. Proven experience as a Technical/Engineering Project Manager or similar role, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  3. Strong technical/engineering/operations background in a manufacturing environment.
  4. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Proficiency with Excel and project management tools
  6. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  9. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
