Job Description:

The Supply Chain Manager/Planner performs various Supply Chain planning-related activities and is responsible for the initiation, management, and coordination of production requirements, materials, inventory plans, and capacity planning required to attain production and inventory objectives for the business.

Essential Job Functions Include:

Develop production schedule and manufacturing plan consistent with finished product demand, resource availability, and inventory level objectives.

Schedules the production of materials that meet the inventory requirements of the business.

Review MRP and generate or release work orders to meet demand requirements and inventory plan.

Identifies and acts on exceptions to demand or production schedule.

Provides information to and coordinates with Buyers to aid in the scheduling of parts.

Maintains open communication with Production Management to ensure manufacturing and inventory plans are clearly understood and fulfilled.

Maintains accurate records and documentation for history and audit purposes.

Prepares and publishes quarterly, monthly and/or weekly schedules as directed by management.

Maintains updated procedures in support of Business System requirements.

May be required to work overtime.

Accountable for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance in assigned area. Responsible for design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, including a self-assessment and report to management.

Accountable for developing and monitoring processes and practices necessary for legal and ethical compliance in assigned area.

Work safely and without injury.

Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled.

Performs other various duties as may be assigned.

Results Driven: Produces results that exceed Dovers strategic objectives via a combination of planning and implementation, while living the Dover Values.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

High-volume manufacturing experience produce over 3 million parts each year

Automotive experience is preferred but will consider if they have high-volume experience within metals components, electronic systems, etc.

Strong negotiation abilities and vendor management skills

Ability to coach, develop, and drive a teams performance

Continuous Improvement/Productivity skills

Strong experience with MRP/ERP systems required (company uses JD Edwards, willing to train on specific system)

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Professional certifications (ISM, ASCM) preferred.

1-3 years of previous production planning or supply chain planning experience.

Best v. Average

- ERP system experience ideally JD Edwards but open to train if have experience in supply chain with other ERP system

-Needs to have strong communication skills to communicate with manufacturing, buyers and vendors

-High volume low SKU environment
