Job Summary:

The companion or sitter is a caregiver trained in the area of companionship/sitter services, household operations, including home management and housekeeping.

Performance requirements:

Must posses patience and tact in working with elderly or disabled clients. Work under the close supervision of the agency supervisor. Must maintain current (TB) CPR/First Aide certification, have reliable transportation and a working contact telephone number.

Job Functions:

1. Provide watchful supervision and oversight during absence of caregiver.

2. Routine housekeeping including laundry, changing the bed linens, dusting, washing dishes, light vacuuming and other light household duties.

3. Observe and report changes in client condition.

4. Maintain a safe and clean environment.
