Overview:

Summary:

Offers basic building and premise maintenance services in office, industrial, and ranch environments to company personnel. Provides first response assistance to trouble calls, makes preliminary assessment of problems, facilitate needed adjustments or repairs utilizing internal and external resources as required. Performs work of average to considerable difficulty in the journey-level performance of building maintenance

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:

  • Inspects, identifies, and corrects facility, equipment and system problems to maintain properties and equipment in safe condition, prevent degradation of property and systems, and prevent failures that would cause reduction in service.
  • Plans and schedules corrective action and preventive maintenance to repair or modify defects and maintain operating condition of facilities, equipment, and systems.
  • Documents work, work orders, purchase orders, and material list to account for materials purchased and time spent in completing work assigned.
  • Requests supplies and materials needing to replace materials consumed and assure their availability for assigned projects, scheduled maintenance, and emergency responses.
  • Reconfigures, installs, positions, and remounts modular offices and space to accommodate user needs and maximize office space.
  • Traveling weekly to various properties.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and minimum three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer skill and Smart devices.

Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician

Basic understanding of electrical, HVAC, hydraulic and other systems

Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods

Strong time management skills.

Ability and willingness to work independently and collaboratively.

Ability and willingness to travel overnight regularly.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Familiarity with local/state/federal rules and regulations for maintenance work activities.
