About this opportunity
As a Senior Category Manager, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our company's operations by overseeing Marketing and Events sourcing. You will develop and execute strategies, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure the highest level of service quality from our suppliers. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, sourcing expertise, and strong relationship management skills. Working closely with key business partners, you will promote adoption of the procurement guidelines and ensure the proper resources are engaged at the appropriate time. You must be comfortable working with and influencing senior executives both internally and externally. You will also be expected to mentor and support regional category managers executing Corporate Services category strategy at the local level.
Our Indirect Sourcing department has grown significantly in the last several years. A large portion of this role will consist of identifying opportunities to focus on, developing a plan, and executing against those strategies.
In this role, you will...
  • Develop category strategies in alignment with the marketing department to deliver cost savings, better agency utilization and agency relationships
  • Negotiate agreements with media, creative, digital agencies
  • Develop a MarTech sourcing strategy
  • Assist the marketing team in effectively managing its agencies through robust supplier relationship management
  • Build market intelligence to inform agency selection and compensation model
  • Develop, publish and lead Requests for Proposals with marketing agencies
  • Develop and execute plans to identify new areas of marketing spend
  • Help manage key agency relationships with the marketing department
  • Mentor regional category managers who support marketing efforts
In this role, you'll need ...
  • 7-10 years of relevant sourcing experience with at least 4 years of experience in marketing sourcing
  • Self-starter, demonstrated ability to develop a new sourcing category from the ground up
  • Excellent business partner engagement skills, influencing will be a key component of this role
  • Strong knowledge of the marketing industry
  • Ability to navigate through a matrixed organization
  • Global experience a plus
