Heatcraft Refrigeration is a long-standing leader in the world of commercial refrigeration, providing climate-control solutions. Their state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the cities of Stone Mountain and Tifton, Georgia, produce evaporators, condensers, compressor racks, and other top-quality refrigeration products for their six market-leading brands: Bohn, Larkin, Climate Control, Chandler, Magna Industrial and InterLink. Heatcraft products are primarily used to preserve food and other perishables in supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, warehouses and distribution centers, in addition to other applications such as data centers, pharmaceutical and industrial process cooling.

As the Safety Engineer I , you will assist in developing, implementing and monitoring programs that drive year-over-year increases in safety and ergonomics and maintain the highest environmental quality standards.

• Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes health, safety and environmental (HSE) recommendations accordingly.
• Prepare, maintain, and update environmental and policy and procedure manuals.
• Help ensure compliance with all HSE regulations and keep abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:

• Bachelor's degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• General knowledge of health, safety, environmental and workers compensation practices.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills that result in effective communication.
• Foundational knowledge of developing and implementing training programs and continuous improvement methods and practices.

The Compensation range for this position is approximately $52,000 - $68,250 and will be based on the candidates qualification, experience, and education.
