We are currently accepting resumes for experienced MDS nurses to our nursing team. Progressive Quality Care is a company unlike any other in the long-term care industry. Our facilities provide some of the area’s highest level of rehabilitation, nursing and medical support to individuals needing post-hospital care and services.

The MDS nurse position is open to both LPNs and RNs with at least 2 years of MDS experience in a skilled nursing facility. 

Duties:

• Performs all duties within the guidelines of Progressive Quality Care.
• Schedule and/or oversee scheduling of all resident MDS assessments to assure timeliness
• Coordinate and oversee all functions of the MDS assessment process to assure compliance with federal and state guidelines
•  Interview residents, residents' representatives and others for information related to the minimum data set assessment
•  Review medical records and records related to residents' health status to collect information related to the MDS
•  Observe resident's to collect information related to the MDS assessment
• Enter data into the computer program for minimum data set assessments
• Electronically transmit MDS assessments in accordance with federal and state guidelines
• Assesses resident and staff needs regarding the assessment process and provides the Administrator and Director of Nursing with comprehensive recommendations concerning the educational needs of the nursing staff.
•  Analyze quality indicator reports for potential concerns and review residents' care plans to be sure that all information is included
• ·Participate in committee meetings and function on committees as assigned
•  Assist in educating staff in appropriate documentation to assure compliance with federal and state guidelines
