**JOB SUMMARY:** The Lead PSR will oversee and manage the daily operation to include supervision and working the front office. This position is responsible for making the initial and subsequent patient/client encounter(s) with our organization as professional, pleasurable and efficient as possible. Check-In, Check-Out, collecting copays, etc. The Lead PSR will Communicate with patients in person and by phone in a busy, fast-paced office. You will address each patient/client inquiry specific to their needs, schedule and reschedule (as needed) patient appointments, and update patient and insurance information.

**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:**

Billing

Participate as a working supervisor, completing tasks as needed to assure that all charges and payments are entered correctly and timely. Responsible for knowledge of all contracted insurance plans. Understand and consistently comply with Medicare and HIPAA guidelines. Responsible for daily deposit.

Front Office Supervision

Monitors work flow of front office staff, assigning staff as necessary to various duties to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Reports to the Operations Manager to keep him/her aware of staffing issues and any other pertinent information relative to business operation. Supervises front office and medical records staff ensuring daily operations support the highest level of patient services. Performs other duties or projects as requested by the Operation Manager

Scheduling

Responsible for rescheduling patients under the direction of the Administrator

Telephone

Responsible for understanding how to operate the telephone and voice mail system. Responsible for training front office staff on the telephone/voice mail system and proper customer service techniques ensuring a high quality of service to patients.

**REQUIREMENTS:** High School Graduate or GED. Experience in dermatology preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of HIPAA.
