Summary

The Design Engineer 1 (Entry Level) is responsible for creating recommendations for designs and methods. Coordinates the creation, development, design, and improvement of products to conform with established program objectives. Provides engineering consultation as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create Drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM) for customer orders.
• Delegate work assignments to engineering technicians and/or production staff assigned to the project
• Review the completed work of staff assigned to the project for adherence to customer specifications and technical proficiency
• Act as a technical resource to engineering and production staff.
• Convey project status to others, and act as the interface between different departments involved in the project.
• Attend all required meetings. 
• Maintain technical competency and remain current on new technology and trends in the industry.
• Perform or assist with failure analyses.
• Assist with Technician and Production duties when needed.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; recent college graduates encouraged
• Less than 1 year experience
