Job Summary:

The Regional Clinical Director at LaserAway plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional medical services across multiple clinic locations. *Treat, Travel, Train

As a key member of the Clinical Operations team, the Regional Clinical Director provides leadership, guidance, and support to the clinical staff, oversees the implementation of protocols and training in collaboration with the Clinical Training team/LDs, and maintains high standards of patient care. This position requires a strong background in medical aesthetics, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service and patient care.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains clinical staff in collaboration with LDs, VP of Clinical Business Operations and the recruiting team.

  • Conducts treatment related performance evaluations and implements performance improvement plans to clinical staff.

  • Handles discipline and termination of clinical employees in accordance with company policy and in collaboration with the HRBPs

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Clinic Morale:

  • Regularly evaluate the overall morale within the clinic by gathering feedback and engaging in open communication with employees.

  • Identify key factors that impact clinic morale, such as communication, recognition, and opportunities for growth.

  • Implement initiatives, programs, and activities to improve morale and foster a positive work environment.

  • Encourage employee participation and engagement by organizing team-building activities, events, and initiatives that promote collaboration, teamwork, and camaraderie.

  • Works in collaboration with Sales Regionals and LDs to address conflicts and issues that may negatively impact morale by providing guidance, mediation, and resolution strategies.

  • Clinic Operations:

    • Provide strategic direction and clinical operational oversight to multiple clinics within the region.

    • Enforcing standardization and compliance with LaserAway's medical protocols, policies, procedures, and guidelines.

    • Collaborate with the team (Sales, Operations, HR, etc.) to achieve organizational goals.

    • Monitor clinic performance metrics in collaboration with the VP Clinical Business Operations and team (clinician utilization, training analytics, adverse reactions, medical inventory waste etc.) and implement improvement plans as needed.

    • Conduct regular clinic visits to treat patients, train clinicians, shadow, assess clinical operations, address challenges, provide support, and implement improvement plans

    • Be present in the clinic on a full-time basis (at least 5 days a week) and be readily accessible for continued communication

    • Cover clinician shifts when necessary.

    • Treats patients each day in clinic to help teams in their locations.

    • Available to travel to other regions to treat and train.

  • Staff Management and Development:

    • Assess and manage staffing requirements to meet operational demands. Conduct interviews, make hiring decisions, and ensure the presence of a skilled and motivated team.

    • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to clinicians.

    • Conduct treatment related performance evaluations and implement performance improvement plans to clinical staff as necessary.

    • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professional growth, and employee engagement.

    • Provides support to lead clinicians within the region and maintains effective communication regarding medical operations and training opportunities within the clinics.

    • Maintains a strong working relationship with HRBP

    • Maintains a strong working relationship with Regional Sales Directors, LDs, sales VPs etc.

  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:

    • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to LaserAway's quality standards for patient care

    • Remain informed about medical-related NPS (Net Promoter Score) and satisfaction survey results through collaborations with Location Directors and Remote Medical Team

  • Clinical Training and Education:

    • Collaborate with the Clinical Training team and Human Resources to deliver comprehensive training programs.

    • Conduct advanced training sessions and provide support for Core training as required.

    • Shadows clinicians on an ongoing basis to improve efficiency and quality of treatments.

  • Relationship Management and Communication:

    • Foster a culture of collaboration between the clinicians and the Location Directors, PCCs and sales team.

    • Communicate organizational and team goals in a positive manner, as well as how the work aligns with those objectives.

    • Establish and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including VPs, EVPs, other regionals, physicians.

    • Collaborate and work with VPs to drive performance metrics of the clinic business and understand financial implications of the business.

  • Trainings:

    • Collaborate with the Training Team to ensure timely and effective training delivery, taking into account clinic operations, staff availability and model selection.

    • Travels and trains for the majority of NHT and advanced trainings in close collaboration with the clinical training team and scheduling team.

Pay: 140-155k DOE

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of an associate's degree is required, bachelor's or an advanced degree is preferred.

  • Valid certification or license as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA) in the state(s) of practice.

  • One year of experience in a clinical leadership role in the medical aesthetics industry.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of medical aesthetics treatments and protocols.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple clinic locations and driving operational excellence, preferred

  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Proficient in Google Suite and familiarity with clinic management software.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Proficient eye-hand-foot coordination when operating aesthetic devices and administering injectables.

  • Ability to perceive and differentiate colors effectively.

  • Capable of bending, sitting, standing, and walking without assistance.

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for approximately 50% of the time, which may involve sitting or standing.

  • Can hold laser and device handpieces weighing up to 1.5 pounds for extended periods of 90 minutes or more.

  • Can lift equipment up to 8 pounds

  • Primarily works in air-conditioned treatment rooms where occasional beeping noises may be present.

  • Comfortable wearing protective eyewear (glasses) for prolonged periods and tolerating flashing lights.

  • Frequently moves devices on wheels across short distances within treatment rooms, requiring a pushing and pulling force of up to 35 pounds.
