Ardmore preschool in search of Head Toddler Teacher for classroom of 15 children, ages 18 months to 3 years. Position is Monday through Friday, 8:00-5:00. Responsibilities include management and supervision of children inside and outside as well as during nap and lunch, creating and supervising daily activities, maintaining the classroom (basic cleaning and tidying, decorating, changing out classroom materials), creating progress reports and conducting parent-teacher conferences, writing monthly newsletters, and other classroom responsibilities as related to the job. Teacher would be working alongside two assistants in the morning and one assistant in the afternoon, and would be responsible for the basic management of said individuals in terms of direction in the classroom. Applicants must love children! Position requires at least 2 years documented experience working with children (2,500 hours) in addition to at least a high school diploma, OR at least one year documented experience working with children (1,250 hours) in addition to an Associate's Degree in education, child development, or human service field OR a Bachelor Degree in any of the aforementioned areas. Position is year-round (camp in the summer) and officially begins June 17th, but would be ideal to start earlier to train under retiring teacher. Please email the school if qualified and interested.
