TurningPoint has an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst (level II) for a direct hire position in Rockville, MD
Details:

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the preparation, evaluation, justification, and maintenance of budgets and forecasts, and budgetary controls
  • Analyze financial data and generate reports to communicate financial results to management
  • Liaison with and support other departments and cross-functional teams
  • Assist in the production of periodic financial reports
  • Assist with data integrity
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve collective goals and contribute to related initiatives
  • Support internal audit function
  • Follow the best practices of finance and accounting standards
  • Perform ad hoc projects as assigned
  • Assist with accounting functions (AR/AP) and backup roles as needed
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned
Requirements:
  • Working experience in QuickBooks required
  • Professional Experience using Microsoft Excel in preparing finanical reports
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience, with a BS in Finance or Accounting field from an accredited University
  • GAAP proficiency
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong ability to multitask, stay organized, and take ownership of projects to see them through to completion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Government contract accounting experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated a history of problem-solving
