ABOUT LACHEIM
La Cheim has been providing a robust continuum of care for nearly 50 years to help children and adults who were previously unreachable. Our nonpublic schools, community mental health center, therapeutic behavioral services program, and residential treatment center offer educational and mental health services throughout Alameda and Contra Costa County.
Our team is made up of teachers, art therapists, counselors, psychiatrists, psychologists, RNs, social workers, MFTs, and mentors who are known for their caliber and compassion. They create life-changing experiences for those they serve.

POSITION SUMMARY
La Cheim TBS is a highly effective and intensive short-term program designed to provide one-to-one counseling to emotionally disturbed children and adolescents who have a history of trauma and are at risk of losing their current living situation with a parent or caregiver due to behavioral challenges. Our program aims to facilitate behavioral change through the creative use of cognitive-behavioral interventions, the Social Learning model, and The Nurtured Heart Approach. We work collaboratively with the client, parent, or caregiver, and a team of multi-disciplinary professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes. Our services are available throughout Contra Costa County and Alameda County, and we provide them in the client's home, school, group home, or community as needed.
