Position Summary:

LAFCU's Utility Specialist II (PRD) will be member service focused within our dynamic Electronic Services Team. The position will be responsible for completing functions related to PRD balancing, Automatic Transfers Agreements, and DD/DDA procedural processes and requirements in compliance with the applicable laws and federal regulations. This position will provide backup coverage as needed for various ACH, Checking, and Utility tasks as needed. This position is a full-time position and reports to the AVP, Electronic Services in the Electronic Services Department.

Job Summary / Description

• Responsible for verification and balancing of Active and Retired Payroll Deduction Worksheets to meet deadlines set by the City of LA and LACERS.
• Review and process requests from members/staff pertaining to PRD, Automatic Transfer Agreement, direct deposit, etc.
• Responsible to process Direct Deposit Advance Reports and follow up with branches/departments as needed.
• Responsible to ensure GL certifications are balanced and submitted monthly.
• Provide back-up assistance with ACH, Checking, and Special Desk duties.
• Provide superior and quality member service.
• Assist in handling member inquires and research requests. Requires good judgment.
• Maintain all required forms and online folders.
• Comply with security guidelines pertaining to CCPA and PII Data.
• Comply with state and federal rules and regulations and other related compliance requirements.

Qualifications & Opportunities

• Two-year experience in Operations with a financial institution preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with members and staff.
• A good understanding of Operations regulations as well as Credit Union’s products and services.
• Maintain a professional appearance.

Salary

• The minimum and maximum base salary range for this position is $22.82 to $32.92 in California. 
• The target starting base hourly rate is between $22.82 to $27.87.
• This compensation and benefits information is based on Los Angeles Federal Credit Union's good faith estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future.
• The starting base salary within the range will depend on a variety of factors that may include relevant prior experience and/or education, or skills and expertise.
