Job Description
Salary: $17-$19 per hour

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, performs routine manual and administrative duties related to the shipment kitting and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment and finished products.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintains necessary files and documentations.
  • Checks goods against shipping documents and authorizations.
  • Packs goods for shipment according to specifications, equipment characteristics, transportation methods and routes.
  • Verifies identification and quality of product and properly labels parts routed to stock.
  • Prepares bills of lading.
  • Posts weight and shipping charges.
  • Stamps, stencils, or attaches information and shipping instructions on containers.
  • Receives and unpacks goods.
  • Checks incoming goods against bills of lading, packaging slips, etc.
  • Verifies nomenclature, identification, and quantity.
  • Rejects damaged, excess or misdirected goods.
  • Routes materials to inspection stores or other destinations.
  • Lifting and carrying cartons weighing 10-50 pounds, in a safe manner.
  • Strapping and wrapping and disposes of items safely in designated containers or areas.
  • Responsible for expediting the product from Receiving and Shipping also assisting in the processing of the product as applicable.
  • Receive parts, disburses to proper bins and does cycle counting of product.
  • Working directly with Sales, Purchasing, Quality and Warehouse operations to ensure expediting of orders and customer requests.
  • Counts incoming, outgoing, and return to stock material.
  • Populates kits-handling small parts.
  • Constructs kit cases
  • Inspect Kits
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to count high quantities of small parts with small part markings.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unites of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to use computers and computer systems, such as Outlook and ERP system.
  • Ability to act with integrity and professionalism.

 Education and Experience:

  • At least two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of the two.
  • Previous experience in quality control or inspections.
  • High school diploma or GED.
