Our Award Winning Client operates nationally and has garnered recognition for its excellence in the industry. We are currently seeking an Extrusion Operator to join our team.

Job Description : The Extrusion Operator plays a crucial role in our manufacturing process, operating and troubleshooting plant equipment, machines, and production lines.

You will receive comprehensive training to perform various tasks associated with specialty film production.

Major Responsibilities :

• Produce high-quality materials for customers by operating and maintaining production equipment, including the blender, resin dryer, extruder, take-off tower, die, slitter, trim winder, and film winder.
• Start up and shut down equipment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Maintain resin mixture feeding, accurately calculating formulation and conducting blending and drying procedures.
• Monitor and adjust process parameters to meet product specifications.
• Record process and product information, conduct quality tests, and complete order paperwork.
• Make quality judgments about the produced film and maintain equipment, including teardown and reassembly of the extruder screw and die.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or GED.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts; positions available on the night shift (7 pm - 7 am).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, climb stairs, lift and pull 10 lbs overhead, work in an ambient room temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and operate safely around hot surfaces and rotating equipment.
• Experience in film extrusion is preferred.
• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Forklift certification.
• Experience with hoisting and rigging.
• Working knowledge of computers and SAP software.
