Job highlights include:
- $17.98 to $19.61 per hour starting wage
- Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI) pension plan with five year vesting, 11.18% employer contribution, and lifetime payout upon retirement.

- Paid on the job training, including equipment operation, HAZWOPER, First Aid/CPR, Flagger, scale programs and many other skills
- Year round physical labor – get paid to walk miles a day
- Day shift only, work between 8:00 am – 5 pm. Locations vary within the Solid Waste Department
- Daily variety of job tasks – each day will likely have a different task assigned
- Ability to interact with an variety of people
- Part of a fun, dynamic group of skilled co-workers

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) No degree required
- Possession of valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a CDL driver’s license AND be insurable
- Reliable personal transportation to commute to any of the designated Solid Waste sites
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Willingness to learn new skills and obtain necessary certifications within designated time frames
