If you are interested in the above, you may be the PERFECT candidate for the Solid Waste Technician/Attendant job. This position involves a mix of physical labor, customer service, equipment operation, computer use, and general facility maintenance.
Job highlights include:
$17.98 to $19.61 per hour starting wage

Paid on the job training, including equipment operation, HAZWOPER, First Aid/CPR, Flagger, scale programs and many other skills
Year round physical labor – get paid to walk miles a day
Day shift only, work between 8:00 am – 5 pm. Locations vary within the Solid Waste Department
Daily variety of job tasks – each day will likely have a different task assigned
Ability to interact with an variety of people

Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) No degree required
Possession of valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a CDL driver’s license AND be insurable
Reliable personal transportation to commute to any of the designated Solid Waste sites
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Willingness to learn new skills and obtain necessary certifications within designated time frames
