The Purchasing Agent plans, purchases, and organizes components, shop supplies, and inventory to accomplish projects with highest quality, lowest cost and best timing.

The ideal candidate can:

• Expedite orders, quotes, back orders, and scope changes as needed
• Create and administer supplier purchase orders, issues, and processes changes to orders
• Review and process order acknowledgments; corrects price and timing discrepancies
• Review, correct, and approve problem invoices
• Manage the kitting of finished goods for respective projects 
• Take corrective action with suppliers in case of receipt of unacceptable goods or services and maintains a record of non-conforming purchases and follow-up actions taken 

The ideal candidate has:

• The ability to identify and define problems, to generate alternative solutions, to make decisions, and to implement and verify solutions
• The ability to manage and prioritize tasks to efficiently and effectively support the manufacturing team 
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and an aptitude for accessing information from engineering and business systems software 

Candidates should have:

Bachelor’s Degree; 2 years of equivalent supply chain experience; or a combination of a degree and equivalent work experience
