Experience level
  • Diesel Engine, Truck & Heavy Equipment Mechanics: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Mechanical knowledge: 5 years (Preferred)
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • A graduate of a mechanical trade school or vocational school preferred
  • Must have own tools
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Advanced knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment utilized in maintenance repair.
  • Skilled in the operation of power tools and machinery
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Safety Certifications preferred.
Physical Demand:
The employee may continuously lift, move, or carry at least 50 pounds, up to 100 pounds. This position may also require using hands for frequent simple grasping, fine manipulation, and power grasping. Reaching is frequently required at waist level and below waist level. The employee often needs to bend, kneel, balance, or squat. The employee will be performing a variety of physical labor, including (but not limited to) climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for long periods, as well as lifting and carrying boxes, tools, equipment, and materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance service and repairs on Diesel trucks and engines. Mostly International MV607 to heavy duty.
  • Reading work orders to evaluate the tasks required.
  • Preparing work plans after fully scoping out the issues.
  • Utilize electronic diagnostic tools and computer software to assist in the troubleshooting and repair of heavy-duty truck engines, braking, electrical, cooling, and exhaust systems
  • Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts
  • Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts as needed.
  • Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, and brake checks as needed.
  • Uses hydraulic jacks or a hoist to access the underside of the unit and aid in removing or replacing assemblies such as engines, transmissions, differentials, springs, etc.
  • Determine corrective action of maintenance through repair manuals and experience.
  • Use standard hand and power tools, hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
  • Maintain tools and equipment to ensure the equipment is available in safe operating condition.
  • Maintain high safety, cleanliness, and efficiency standards in all maintenance.
  • Adhere to all company health and safety policies.

  • 8 am to 5 pm daily or can be Flexible
  • Monday to Friday
