Kolter Solutions is seeking a Senior Clinical/Business Analyst.
Location: Hyrbid-Sarasota, FL
Job Summary Responsible for providing senior clinical/business analyst leadership and direction, as well as project management, for the development and support of a stable, reliable, and customer oriented clinical/business system and applications that meet the needs of users and the organization.
Required Qualifications - Require Associate Degree in Information Systems, Informatics, Business Administration, Nursing or appropriate clinical or business field.
Relevant work experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for required degree. - Require five (5) years of applicable clinical/business systems/IT experience, preferably in a multi-entity health care system, large hospital, physician office, or managed care organization.
Bachelor degree in a related field may substitute for up to two (2) years of required experience. - Require demonstrated leadership skills with innovative resolution to problems . - Require excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Require excellent analytical, judgment and people skills.
Preferred Qualifications - Prefer broad experience in systems analysis, design, development and integration of large enterprise wide application systems. - Prefer experience with multiple clinical computer systems, database applications, and software applications including configuration, software testing, implementation, data manipulation and report generation. - Prefer experience in multiple healthcare clinical system implementations and support is required with the ability to understand and communicate how the various systems interact from an enterprise perspective.

Actively completes Clinical and Business System project activities: - Actively and professionally engages in team, department and project meetings by providing meaningful input and/or asking appropriate questions. - Serves on and leads project teams and application evaluations as requested, providing consultation and guidance to insure business application standards, workflow and interface issues are addressed. - Communicates and facilitates issues resolution between groups to insure good communication and the timely and successful completion of a project. - Implements solutions to department and project related issues. - Demonstrates consistent quality of work, and adjusts work schedule and priorities to meet the organizational needs. - Develops work/project documentation in accordance with minimum standards. - Implements systems with minimal impact to existing systems and the user community. Testing - Facilitates end user in planning and carrying out acceptance, functional/or integrated testing. - Manages thorough application testing prior to turning over to users for acceptance and/or integrated testing. - Develops written test plans, which are used and outcomes documented. - Provides workflow advice on go-live strategies to end users; coordinates go-live activities with user including documenting and following the Change Management process. - Manages overall project test plans and testing resources.
Analytical Skills - Interviews users to document goals and objectives of the clinical systems request. Works with process owners to identify and propose system/process improvements. - Provides analysis input for the development or upgrades for departmental systems in order to ensure clinical end user needs are met. - Identifies technical, business, and clinical workflow components required and resolves technical and workflow issues for an application configuration. - Configure systems based on understanding of clinical processes/workflow, and identifies when changes are needed as a result of changes in requirements.
Technical Skills - Provides senior analyst leadership and direction to the analyst team, IS, business units, project teams or external entities. - Identifies personal abilities and limitations and takes appropriate follow-up action. - Recognizes and identifies potential areas in application software where policies, procedures, or workflow require change or development. - Serves as a mentor and information resource to Clinical and Business Analysts using standard mentoring tools. Readily offers assistance, guidance and training to others as required/appropriate. - Evaluates application and/or data errors and communicates to appropriate team member(s). - Provides presentations for users, staff and outside entities, as required, utilizing appropriate tools, techniques, and methods. - Maintains and demonstrates competency in the use of core job function tools.
Management Analysis/Design - Participates in review of clinical/business needs/goals with senior hospital management, providing input regarding effects to enterprise systems, and potential solutions to implement the new mix of /clinical/business rules. - Completion of assigned tasks where quality, productivity; reliability, creativity, independence, initiative and customer service skills exceed that normally expected of the average employee. - Recognizes and identifies potential areas in application where policies, procedures, or business rules require change or development and implements a plan of action. - Performs application review and evaluation, and provides management with timely analysis, focusing on needs of the clinical units and the enterprise. - Reviews and/or defines testing procedures to insure applications perform as designed and with proper efficiency. Procedures are well documented. May conduct in-service training to facilitate establishment as standard. - Ensures coordination of system implementation and changes.
Project Management Organizational Skills - Displays planning and self-guided time management skills beyond that expected of the average employee, keeping focus on priority tasks and staying within schedule. - Demonstrates the ability to re-prioritize tasks as needed. Balances good customer service and maintains focus on project priorities so the most important (not necessarily the most urgent) tasks are accomplished as scheduled. - Ability to manage, direct and assist project resources, as needed, to meet project objectives and deadlines. This includes both internal resources as well as consultants/vendors as needed. - Ensures coordination of system implementation and changes.
Competency - Demonstrates ongoing competency in area of responsibility. Actively increases knowledge, performance and service as related to area of responsibility. - Demonstrates knowledge of major clinical systems and understands interrelationships in clinical application systems and services. - Develops and increases competency in applications skills by learning and applying skills for new applications and upgrades to existing applications.
Communication Demonstrates effective communication skills: - Ensures that all procedures and processes are well documented, to enable efficient and accurate support of all systems. - Written documents, reports, email, etc are well organized, concise and accurate, and conveyed professionally. - Responds to phone calls, e-mail and other correspondence expeditiously, without excessive delay. - Follows communication requirements and selects the type of response most appropriate to the issue.
System Support - Provides support for Front End Support analysts and other Analysts, as scheduled and documents appropriately. - Rounds with customer areas, recording reported issues. Works reported issues in Senior queue with follow up communication to customer as to resolution.
On Call Rotation - Participates in 24/7/365 on call rotation, working to resolve customer issues timely, and identifies opportunities for user self-service remedies/education.
Additional Duties - Assists in education related activities to staff. - Cooperatively accepts additional duties as assigned.
