Hexagon Agility is a leading global provider of clean fuel solutions in the transport sector.? Our technology enables hard to decarbonize segments - such as trucks and buses - to move from diesel to cleaner fuel alternatives.
We are looking for an ambitious and driven colleague that wants to work closely with our local quality and operations team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Conduct and document in-process and final parts inspections.
* Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications in order to measure basic dimensions such as hole locations, diameters, width, length, and thickness.
* Support the control of nonconforming material process by implementing containment and dispositions.
* Inspect painted parts using paint measurement equipment (spectrophotometer, wave-scan, thickness gage and gloss meter) to verify compliance to the surface quality standard.
* Train production inspectors on proper inspection techniques.
* Use ERP system to locate/move nonconforming materials, look up engineering prints and BOM's.
* Program and measure tubing using Romer Docs.
* Other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Basic knowledge/use of an ERP system.
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, & Power Point).
* Ability to use caliper, micrometer, angle finder and tape measure.
* Inspires, motivates, and collaborates with others
* Self-motivated; able to work with minimal direction
* Anticipates needs and problems while creating solutions
Credentials and Experience
* High School diploma or GED
* Experience in manufacturing.
* Blueprint reading skills and experience is preferred
Work Environment
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands
* The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
