To provide daily support and refine warehouse / distribution processes in preparation for volume expansion. In addition, supporting cargo screening processes as the screening supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supervise all warehouse traffic, work flow and communications (internal and external). 2. Work Flow Supervision of warehouse personnel (Temporary Employees and Day Labors ONLY) by planning, preparing and assigning work load to each.
3. Work closely Management to create SOP and profile for warehousing accounts (newly obtained and other special accounts). 4. Coordinate and execute scheduled screening process.
5. Ensure all warehouse personnel are up-to-date with TSA regulation and requirements, trained, technically competent and well informed of changes with both customer’s and industry requirements and regulatory matters.
6. Increase competency level of all warehouse personnel to ensure quality, compliance and outstanding service. 7. Maintain a continuous improvement process to increase efficiency and improve performance level of service.8. Hold meetings, huddles, or small group interactions either as scheduled, or ad-hoc as needed.
9. Put in additional time to complete work when needed.
10. Maintain lines of communication with Air and Ocean Export Operations.11. Designated backup for Facility Security Coordinator (FSC). Coordination and Communications with TSA for site visits.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
List any required educational attainments (degrees, certificates, licenses, etc.): Fork-lift operating certificate, High School diploma.
List any required skills (computer, machinery, typing, etc.): Computer literacy, familiarity with basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), use of tape measure.
List any required special attributes (ability to move/pick-up certain weight capacity, personality traits, certain aptitudes, etc.): Ability to lift unassisted objects that weight up to 60lbs, attention to detail. Ability to follow Transportation Security Administration Indirect Air Carrier Standard Security Program. Team-oriented, positive customer service skills and interpersonal office traits. Must be able to cohesively work with other departments. High attention to detail.
