Job Title: Academic Enhancement Instructor (Coordinator)

Saint Francis High School is seeking a dynamic and experienced teacher to lead its Academic Enhancement Department. Saint Francis School is an independent, not-for-profit college preparatory program without any religious affiliation, serving the Atlanta Metro area since 1976. The High School is located on 47 acres in Milton and is a tight-knit community of approximately 55 faculty and staff members and 275 students. The mission of Saint Francis School is to provide a college preparatory program to students with diverse academic abilities in a structured environment that is challenging and supportive. Job Description:The ideal candidate will provide academic reinforcement to small groups to develop academic strategies, self-advocacy skills, and executive functioning skills tailored to their specific needs in the subjects of Math and Language Arts. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement executive functioning strategies to enhance students' academic performance.
  • Facilitate the development of effective study habits through one-on-one sessions and group work.
  • Collaborate with subject area teachers to provide appropriate supportive measures.
  • Work with counselors, administrators, and parents to collectively promote student success.
  • Maintain and utilize a variety of educational resources, including teacher notes, worksheets, textbooks, and multimedia materials.
  • Foster a positive and productive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.
  • Follow the curriculum outlines as designated by the Department Heads and Curriculum Coordinator so that consistency is established in each grade level and continuity is maintained from one grade level to the next.
  • Present instruction in a multi-modal fashion and recognize that students have different levels of ability.
  • Review and reinforce our teaching strategies so that students can better retain and internalize taught concepts.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, English, or an educational-related field.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
  • Opportunities to lead or assist in extracurricular activities such as clubs and sports for additional stipends.
  • Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
