Job Description: Civil Engineer - Land Development

Location: Orlando, FL

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with creating an engineering plan for land development based on their calculations and any research conducted. They should have experience with AutoCAD and be able to utilize strong design skills in order to create visual aids. By utilizing strong organizational and communication skills, this candidate will also have the ability to execute a project based on the criteria outlined.

Responsibilities:

• Assists in the planning, design, and production of land development engineering drawings for residential and mixed-use projects.
• Collaborate with project teams to create innovative and efficient site designs
• Conduct thorough analysis of site conditions and regulatory requirements
• Prepare and submit land use permit applications in compliance with local regulations
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success
• Participates in conducting engineering investigations and planning work by completing well-defined tasks. These tasks may include collection and analysis of data using established procedures, performance of routine calculations, and participation in evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions.

Requirements:

• B.S. in Engineering
• P.E. license strongly preferred, EIT required
• 5 years of experience working for a civil engineering firm in land development
• Strong background in site design, land development, and land use permitting for residential projects
