Position Overview:
The client is seeking a compassionate and dedicated healthcare professional to join their team as a Registered Nurse for the Acute Rehabilitation Unit, including an 11-bed secured Brain Injury Unit, and Transitional Sub-Acute Unit. The ideal candidate will contribute to the commitment to providing exceptional care to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- The selected candidate will provide nursing care on the 62-bed Acute Rehabilitation Unit and 50-bed Transitional Sub-Acute Unit.
- Collaboration with a team of highly skilled therapists in speech, physical, and occupational therapy programming will be expected.
- Participation in therapeutic recreation and activities to enhance patient well-being is a key responsibility.
- Ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients in spacious private rooms with large private bathrooms and flat-screen televisions is crucial.
- Utilizing the aquatic therapy pool for rehabilitation interventions is part of the role.
- Working in conjunction with on-site pharmacy, laboratory, and radiological services for comprehensive patient care is essential.
- Contribution to the healing environment by utilizing the outdoor therapeutic garden is expected.
- Facilitating patient engagement in comfortable lounges equipped with flat-screen televisions, computers, and free internet access is part of the duties.
- Creating a welcoming atmosphere for patients, friends, and families with plenty of visiting areas is an important aspect of the role.
- Maintaining a safe and accessible environment with easy access and free parking is a responsibility of the position.
Qualifications:
Education/Training/Certifications:
- The candidate should possess a current nursing license.
- A good work history, with relevant experience in med/surg or rehab preferred.
- New grads will be considered.
Experience:
- Experience in med/surg or rehab is ideal but not mandatory.
