The project manager is accountable for developing, implementing, and monitoring strategies and tactics that address the company goals to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of administrative activities. This position is tasked with managing projects from inception to completion, and it must ensure that all projects adhere to the required standards, i.e., budget, timeline, and scope. The project manager must also develop project plans that meet member needs with company goals and coordinate with program managers and other personnel throughout all stages of the project.IDEAL CANDIDATE:The ideal candidate is familiar with local government and/or behavioral health. They should be able to read a contract's scope of deliverables and create, execute, and manage a plan to complete the project on time and within budget. This person needs to be highly organized and flexible (able to roll with change).Looking for someone who has experience managing projects other than software projects. This person ideally would have experience in or relevant to behavioral health, healthcare, social services, and/or public health.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:Develop comprehensive project plans that merge member requirements with company initiatives and coordinate tasks during all project phases, from initial development through implementationImplement strategies that deliver projects on schedule within budgetUse project management tools to track performance, schedule, and create status reportsCommunicate proactively with all involved personnel to encourage, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvementsCoordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projectsPlanning and overseeing the preparation and dissemination of project communicationsAnticipate details of future projects by communicating directly with leadership and staying informed of relevant trendsCoordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projectsEnsure that all projects are delivered on time, within the scope, and budgetDeveloping project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibilityEnsure resource availability and allocationsDevelop a detailed project plan to track progressUse appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costsMeasure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniquesReport and escalate to management as neededManage the relationship with the client and all stakeholdersPerform risk management to minimize project risksEstablish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendorsCreate and maintain comprehensive project documentationOther duties, as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEMEDI-CAL BEHAVIORAL HEALTH EXPERIENCE (Preferably in County Government)Bachelors degree in computer science or business and four (4) years of qualified Project Management experience or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience. PMP is a plus.To perform this job successfully, the project manager must have a background in business skills, management, budgeting, and analysis.
