KMC is Hiring a Production Planning Analyst (Rail Car) Near Lincoln, NE
Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corp., U.S.A seeks a full-time Production Planning Analyst at our Consumer Products manufacturing facility in Lincoln, NE. Responsibilities of Production Planning Analyst :
Administering, communicating and improving practices and functions related to Production
Provide support to Production as needed
Focus on the production plans that will utilize resources in the most optimal way and maintain viable production and inventory plans that best fulfill demand requirements
Follow all company Policies and Procedures, Quality and Environmental Management Systems (QMS & EMS), Kawasaki Production System (KPS) and any other legal and compliance regulations that may apply such as OSHA.
Monitor and analyze systems, schedules and work flow
Research trends in related issues, analyze current processes and recommend applicable changes for improvements to relevant programs
Create, update and prepare reports using various computer programs
Provide support and communicate to all levels of the organization for internal and external customers
Analyze various information to determine out of balance conditions, develop solutions and adjust system parameters to improve efficiencies, support cost down efforts and provide customer service
Create, confirm and apply mass changes for Material Masters.
Confirm and assign BOMs for each rail car in SAP.
Release POs for associated Kawasaki companies prior to new rail car project startup.
Release rail cars from PLO to PDO status prior cars going on-line.
Process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in SAP for design changes.
Process Internal ECOs in SAP for line balancing or related situations.
Convert Purchase Requisitions (PRs) to Purchase Orders (POs) based on ECOs.
Create and publish ECO checklist for downstream departments to take their appropriate actions.
Perform error analysis on BOMs and ECOs for accuracy.
Perform full BOM reviews between rail car projects.
Confirm Scope of Work (SOW) between rail car projects.
Work closely with Production Engineering Documents group regarding BOMs/ECOs.
Generate and issue the Moves report to forecast potential part shortages.
Release the daily Car Position report.
Backflush inventory from SAP after the rail cars index to their next production station.
TECO rail cars from SAP after car shipment to remove from demand SAP.
Evaluate Job Transfer Notifications (JTNs) and create Network Orders (NWOs) to ship parts to associated Kawasaki companies
Maintain Safety Stock usage requirements.
Maintain conversion tables within SAP and associated databases.
Cleanse Data Defective information from SAP.
Issue Cycle Count requests to confirm inventory.
Perform requirement date comparisons.
Update SAP with production schedule changes.
Process Crib Stock Request sheets to add new material to the production crib.
Qualifications for Production Planning Analyst :
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Four to six years of scheduling and/or planning experience
Ability to demonstrate the skills in sharing and receiving information, feedback, to encourage a trusting and developmental outcome or relationship
Must be capable of assessing all forms of communication, verbal and nonverbal, to determine the effectiveness of communication
Ability to display appropriate proficiency with computers and computer applications, including: spreadsheets (e.g., Excel), word processing (e.g., Word), presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint), internet/intranet (e.g., browsers, search engines), special applications (e.g., Lansa Client, AS400, SAP,etc.)
