Bird Staffing is Hiring a General Laborer Near Pensacola, FL
- Installing of new main/service lines
- Using assigned tools and construction equipment
- Lifting of heavy objects i.e. cast-iron pipes, fittings, and chemical containers.
- Replacing meters and meter box lids as required
- Taking corrective action of meter boxes that become misaligned.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must have a valid Motor Vehicle driver's license.
- Must be able to read, write legibly, and perform mathematical calculations.
- Must be computer literate and capable of operating various portable, handheld and network computers and devices.
- Must be able to operate portable data loggers and portable computer for meter reading functions.
- Must be able to report any abnormality in the system such as illegal service connections, leak, maintenance work, faulty meters, or abnormal customer consumption.
- Must be capable of cleaning water and or mud out of meter boxes to read meter.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and pull objects weighing up to 100 lbs. unassisted.
- Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, crawl, stoop, reach, climb stairs or ladders.
- Must be capable of operating a two-way radio, telephone, computer, word processor, typewrite, copier, fax, adding machine, calculator, or other office machines.
