Description:

Performs laboratory analyses in an accurate, timely, courteous and effective manner to support comprehensive patient care. In certain entities (BOS), Lab Techs will be required to support the TEAM CARE Model to ensure patient workflow efficiencies are met, and patient satisfaction goals achieved.

Marathon is located in the Florida Keys and is a small tropical island about two hours south of Miami and hour north of Key West. If you love the ocean, island life, flip-flops all year round and ocean views on both sides of the hospital this is the place for you.

Fishermen’s Community Hospital is part of Baptist Health South Florida and is a 10-bed critical access hospital located in Marathon Florida in the sunny Florida Keys.

Having opened in June 2021, Fishermen’s Community Hospital is a brand new facility with all new state of the art laboratory instrumentation.

Fishermen’s Community Hospital Laboratory provides testing in Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Blood Bank and Micro with additional services in Phlebotomy, Send-Outs and Outreach.

Estimated pay range for this position is $28 - $37 / hour depending on experience.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology Clinical Laboratory, Biological, Chemical Physical or related science as required by the State of Florida

Basic Life Support Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Clinical Laboratory, Biological, Chemical Physical or related science as required by the State of Florida

Minimum Required Experience: No experience required.
