Pride Health is hiring a Medical Lab Scientist II to support our client’s medical facility based in Austin, TX 78701. This is a Contract job with possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: Melrose, MA 02176 and Also Boston, MA 02111

Job Type: 6 months - W2 contract - with possible extension

Schedule: part time - night – 24 hours 3 days 11PM - 7AM - Melrose, MA 02176

: 12:30PM - 9pm or 3PM - 11:30 PM Mon-Friday rotating weekends - Boston, MA 02111

• Pay Range: MLT's $20-$25 per hour, MT's $29-$37.

Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities are interchangeable within job titles of medical laboratory scientist (MLS), medical technologist or clinical laboratory scientist.
• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.

Qualifications:

• Seeking an MLS/MT or MLT experienced in Blood Bank - will be supporting Blood Bank Department.
• ASCP/ AMT is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical laboratory testing experience is required.
