POSITION OVERVIEW

Science 37’s mission is to accelerate clinical research by enabling universal trial access for patients. Through our solutions; The Metasite™ and Patient Recruitment, we accelerate enrollment by expanding the reach of clinical trials to patients beyond the traditional site and rigorously qualifying patients prior to referring them to a traditional site. Our solutions are powered by a proprietary technology stack with in-house medical and operational experts that enhance quality through standardized workflows and best-in-class study orchestration. 

The Proposal Analyst is responsible for executing pricing and proposal language for billable projects by Science 37 on behalf of its clients. The Proposal Analyst also helps to facilitate the internal alignment of the Accounting & Finance, Operations and Commercial teams on pricing strategies, budgets, and proposals; including but not limited to pricing, payment terms, request for proposal (RFP) responses, contracts, change orders, and other terms as needed related to billable projects. 

The Proposal Analyst works closely with Operations and the Commercial team in the preparation of proposals,budgets, and contracts/change orders for clients. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include but are not limited to: 

  1. With Guidance, Works with key team members, departmental heads, and internal experts to ensure high-quality proposals are successfully drafted and budgeted using standard templates,submitting to our customers in a timely manner
  2. Utilizes knowledge of clinical research and the biopharmaceutical industry to understand pricing and proposal requirements from RFPs and Change Order Requests
  3. Analyzes requests for Proposals and Change Orders and applies the information provided in the appropriate budget and proposal templates
  4. Ensures that the pricing terms and proposal language being proposed are aligned with corporate financial targets and guidance
  5. Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Qualifications 

The following qualifications are preferred and/or equivalent applicable experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree; Finance or similar concentration
  2. 1 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical space, preferable in a Finance, Pricing, Proposals, Contracts, or Procurement role with a CRO, biopharmaceutical company or company that provides technology or services to the industry
  3. Basic Understanding of clinical trial proposals, budgets and their execution

  1. Problem Solving - Ability to think both analytically and creatively, including strategic planning abilities. Proven ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits
  2. Strong interpersonal skills and public-speaking abilities – ability to communicate, influence and manage well at all levels of the organization.
  3. Computer skills – Working knowledge of MS Office suite, Google applications, project management and analytics software. Able to generate business correspondence, create forms and generate reports as required
  4. Practices professionalism and integrity in all actions – Demonstrated ability to foster concepts of teamwork, cooperation, self- control, and flexibility to get the work done. The ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment. Able to successfully work in a decentralized team environment. Skilled in situational responsive decision-making.
  5. Time Management Skills – Adapt to new problems and readjust as needed to complete an assignment. Proven ability to multi-task at a high level and the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing deadlines and needs. Capable of juggling several running projects.
  6. Strong organizational skills and accuracy – Keeping track of items, creating and developing sensible strategies and physical solutions for facilitating workflow, cleanliness, and efficiency in the office. Detail-oriented and careful about quality of work.
  7. Excellent problem-solving and people skills – Communicate ideas effectively to resolve conflicts and achieve business goals. Motivating; knows how to influence and enable others.

Flexibility/Adaptability- Is well versed in adapting to changes in competitive landscape and creates appropriate solutions quickly; Has the ability and skills to efficiently delivery high level of service for rapidly growing organization

Capabilities 

  1. Ability to communicate fluently in English (both verbal and written)
  2. Ability to travel up to 10% of time, as needed, for project team meetings, client presentations and other professional/meetings conferences

The incumbent reports to the Director, Strategic Pricing.
