Seeking a Director of Nursing, RN for an assisted living facility that offers a service rich community and a comfortable, caring environment. As clinical leader, the Director of Nursing oversees the nursing team and is responsible to guide and encourage staff and collaborate with other leaders in the community to meet the comprehensive needs of the residents.

Must be a Registered Nurse.

Job Description:

• Make a significant contribution to the quality of life of residents by maintaining the highest possible quality and consistency
• Review routines, calendar of events, team member schedule and coordinate resident appointments, treatments, or procedures
• Assists with new resident orientation and transition to community
• Develop, implement and update service plans
• Make daily rounds to observe and evaluate the physical and emotional status of residents
• Coordinate admission and discharge of residents
• Evaluate employee performance and assume responsibility for recruiting, hiring and training new employees
• Ensures documentation of resident clinical status and is able to communicate to physicians and other healthcare professionals
• Demonstrate organizational skills around time management

Requirements:

• Maintains a current state license as a professional Registered Nurse (RN)
• Compassionate individual who will represent our community in a positive and professional manner
• Effective communicator who connects with staff, residents and their families
• Demonstrate active listening techniques, gain support by treating others with dignity and respect
• Strong customer service skills with ability to problem solve
• Work with the dining room manager to identify dietary needs and develop appropriate dietary plans
• Ownership attitude who is able to stay focused despite interruptions throughout the day
