Job Details
As a Structural Design Engineer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the successful completion of projects and the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.
Responsibilities will include:

• Creating plans, designs, conducting computer analyses, and checking drawing reviews and calculations using engineering formulas and skills, in accordance with established codes, standards, drawings, or other specifications.
• Analyzing applicable reports, drawings, blueprints, tests, and related documentation to plan and design projects effectively.
• Utilizing computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering and design documents and calculations accurately.
• Conducting field reviews and structural observations to assess project progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Reviewing shop drawings, contractor requests, and Requests for Information (RFIs) to address any discrepancies or issues promptly and effectively.

Needed:

• We are open to new grads as well as experienced professionals that have experience in a structural engineering role
• Foundational understanding of structural engineering principles and practices
• M.S. Degree in Civil Engineering (with a Structural Engineering focus or similar) would be a plus / B.S. degree is required
• Actively working towards P.E. or S.E. licensure: Pursuing licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Structural Engineer (S.E.)
• Structural design experience in concrete, wood, and structural steel
• A working knowledge of the building code and associated design standards
• Ability to accurately read and interpret drawing plans
