Personal injury attorney

Remote, experience not necessary

Are you a driven, compassionate attorney, who can handle a fast-paced environment? Want to help a lot of people through some of their darkest days, WITHOUT the burden of going to court? Tired of busy work that could be delegated?

If so, you may be perfect for our Personal Injury team, which includes former trial attorneys, public defenders, defense attorneys, claims adjusters, recent law school graduates, and other diverse backgrounds.

This position is perfect for someone who wants to build a truly rewarding career.

What the day looks like:

No two days are the same. A steady stream of good, interesting cases will be sent your way. You spend your day crafting strategy, reviewing records, and providing important legal advice, while support work is done by our accomplished teams.

You’ll have the opportunity to be a source of stability and comfort for injured people, as you guide them through their situation. You’ll have the benefit of multiple teams to support all aspects of the case – including negotiations, liens, or litigation.

Our goal is to provide quality legal work for as many people as possible, so time-management and organization is key. It’s a good fit for ambitious attorneys who care deeply about their clients.

What you're NOT doing:

  • Marketing for new cases, handling intake calls, ordering and organizing medical records
  • Managing paralegals in an HR capacity (timecards, etc.)
  • Going to court (unless you want to)
  • Billing time
  • Heavy legal research, drafting complaints, or extensive legal writing

We offer:

  • Robust training & professional growth opportunities, including weekly meetings with partners and a path to partnership
  • 100% remote/hybrid/in office – your preference considered
  • Top-of-the-line staff and case management software
  • No cap on how much you can achieve above your already-competitive salaryand unlimited PTO
  • Competitive salary & benefits including comprehensive health insurance, parental leave, 401k with match, paid CLEs, and more

Who we are:

We’re a nationally recognized plaintiffs’ firm, recently voted a Best Place to Work. Our President is one of the state’s most influential business leaders, committed to advancing diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.

Besides looking for high achievers, we’re also looking for good people. People with character, strong values, and who are good teammates. Our employees genuinely care for our clients and for each other.

Requirements:

  • North Carolina Bar license (can reside anywhere in U.S)
  • Strong organizational and attention-to detail, and communication skills
  • Ability to handle a high volume of cases and manage time effectively
  • Moderate capabilities for technology
  • Experience in personal injury law or related fields preferred but not required; we provide training and mentorship
  • South Carolina Bar license and bilingual ability are a plus

“When I graduated from law school, there was only one place I wanted to work: James Scott Farrin. For years, I have admired the firm for its values and service to others. It is an honor to work here.”
