Palantir Technologies is Hiring an Information Security Evangelist Near Palo Alto, CA

A World-Changing Company
At Palantir, we’re passionate about building software that solves problems. We partner with the most important institutions in the world to transform how they use data and technology. Our software has been used to stop terrorist attacks, discover new medicines, gain an edge in global financial markets, and more. If these types of projects excite you, we'd love for you to join us.
The Role
As an Information Security (InfoSec) Evangelist, you’ll represent and advocate for Palantir’s security program, both internally and externally. Within the company, you’ll develop and cultivate Palantir’s security-first cultural norm through training courses, documentation, compliance assessments, and broad employee engagement. You’ll also serve as a primary contact for our external, customer-facing security efforts.
In this role you will review and validate compliance requirements, produce materials to raise awareness about InfoSec policies, processes, and projects, and lead company-wide education efforts aimed at increasing overall security. You will also directly engage with customers to discuss our security program and the modern security controls we have implemented across our software products and infrastructure. At Palantir, information security is a core part of our foundation, and the Evangelism team is tasked with the expansive and deep mission to reinforce this across all facets of the business.

Core Responsibilities

  • Engage highly technical customers to discuss elements of security controls in our software products and architectures. This includes discussions on Palantir’s information security program, modern defensive controls, and security best practices.
  • Work closely with auditors, both internal and external, as well as customers to build trust in Palantir’s information security program. This includes work on customer-facing resources, whitepapers, website updates, marketing materials, and documentation.
  • Work cross-functionally with Information Security, Technical Compliance, Engineering, Sales, and other teams to ensure security controls meet regulatory and compliance framework requirements.
  • Lead security training development and delivery for specific teams, and for Palantir as a whole. Oversee and own outcomes for training and security awareness across all Palantir.
  • Collaborate on security control and auditing gap assessments, and make recommendations for security control improvements.
  • Partner closely with other members of the Information Security team to lead changes in the company's security posture through education, training, open source contributions, technical project work, and internal documentation.

What We Value

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly for explaining highly technical concepts to a diverse set of non-technical audiences.
  • A deep technical understanding of information security controls, including data protection, access controls, policies and standards, proactive and reactive security, application security, and related measures.
  • Experience with enterprise architectures, public cloud provider technologies (e.g. AWS, GCP, or Azure), and modern software deployment tooling (e.g. containers, kubernetes).
  • Experience with information security and risk management frameworks, standards, and certifications (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, CMMC, SOC 2).
  • Strong desire to own impactful security outcomes in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment.
Palantir is committed to promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion and is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer. We believe that all Palantirians share the responsibility of upholding our commitment to these values and encourage candidates from a wide range of backgrounds, perspectives, and lived experiences to join us in solving the world’s hardest problems. Palantir is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to applicants with physical and mental disabilities. Please see the United States Department of Labor’s EEO poster and EEO poster supplement for additional information.
