Job Description -Buyer/Planner
Boyd (Woburn), a manufacturer of heat exchangers, cooling systems, and re-circulating chillers for commercial, industrial and military applications. Has an immediate opening for a Buyer/Planner, due to growth of the Company.
In this position you will be responsible for planning and executing supply chain requirements to support the Systems product lines and their business goals of 95% on-time delivery to customers, 95% on time delivery from suppliers, inventory turns of 18, and 99% supplier quality performance and Zero quality escapes.
Skills/Experience:
The successful candidate must have:
*Experience with the implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives such as kanban and other visual ordering systems, kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, root cause analysis techniques.
*The desire to work within a Production team environment with a strong sense of personal and team responsibility and energy to succeed and learn new techniques and ideas.
*Excellent interpersonal skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
*Three years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing company, which includes buying transactions and planning transactions utilizing an MRP system.
Education: BA/BS
Experience: 3-5 years
