Job Summary : Approved Fire Protection is looking for a full- time experienced Field Fire Alarm Project Specialist. This individual would be a Lead Technician specializing in Fire Alarm services in the Project Team department. Working side by side with Project Managers and our systems technicians to provide their field knowledge while performing fire alarm projects. Candidate should be mechanically inclined and possess the ability to diagnose and repair any reported problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• On-site technician for Fire Alarm projects.
• Coordinate with Project Managers on each jobsite.
• Inspect, test, and service fire alarm systems in accordance with applicable fire codes.
• Must have a working knowledge of how to use all peripheral electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment used and associated safety procedures.
• Inspect Releasing and Detections Fire Panels.
• Process all service paperwork timely and accurately.
• Able to update and maintain information and processes in company software system (Profit Zoom).
• Capable of handling on call (after-hours) emergency services work and regular hour emergency service jobs.

Required Qualifications:

• Prior experience, minimum 2 years, as a Fire Alarm and/or Special Hazard Technician.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to be proactive in communicating and working with other departments.
• Valid driver's license and excellent driving record.
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be willing to travel throughout NJ as required to project field locations.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be competent with all work-related power tools.
• Excellent work ethic.
• Comply with unform policy.
• Language: English

Preferred Qualifications:

• Computer based fire alarm programming ability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to be proactive in communicating and working with other departments.
• Ability to work in a team or on their own.
• Must be able to work Monday through Friday 7:20 am – 3:50 PM
