Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Site Supervisor, and with support from the Lead Teacher, the Teacher is responsible for the health and safety of children in the child care center, the implementation of a developmentally appropriate and culturally relevant curriculum, and the observation and assessment of children and the classroom environment. In addition, the Teacher is responsible for developing strong relationships with parents and fully complying with Title 22, Title 5 and the Child Care Food Program requirements.

Must possess mobility to work in a classroom and play yard settings and to use standard office equipment including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry children weighing up to 40 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
Travel Requirements:
Minimal travel required.
