Muna's Care Home is Hiring a Direct Support Professional Near San Jose, CA
- Looking to Hire DSP Staff to provide direct support services to male individuals with developmental disabilities, with some physical disabilities and complex care needs in a home setting.
We are looking for people with Empathy, Integrity and Problem-Solving Skills to be Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
Location: Care Home is a house located in a beautiful Suburban neighborhood in the Santa Teresa/Blossom Hill Area of San Jose.
Shifts Available
- Part-Time/Full time - 30-40 hours a week
Starting Pay - $18/hour
Experience is considered
Duties may include:
- Provide quality direct care support to adults with intellectual disabilities.
- Provide behavioral support to individuals with complex care needs.
- Provide support during community-based activities: outings/field trips, medical appointments, and shopping
- Assist with activities of daily living skills including meal preparation, hygiene, and assist with medication administration
- Provide guidance on a range of developmental goals from community participation, household budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and supporting vocational responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Experience working in developmental services field preferred
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Successful clearance of background checks
- A reliable, responsible attitude
- A compassionate approach and a commitment to quality in everything you do
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
