Overview for Lead Plumbing Installer: Our client seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Plumbing Installer to oversee residential plumbing installation projects. The Lead Plumbing Installer will be responsible for leading their Installation team and utilizing machinery such as ditch witches, mini excavators, excavators, and skid steers to efficiently install and replace plumbing systems at residential properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing installation, excellent leadership skills, and proficiency in operating heavy machinery.
Responsibilities ofLead Plumbing Installer:
  • Lead and supervise plumbing installation projects in residential properties, including new construction and renovation projects. Coordinate with Plumbing Manager, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Supervise and mentor team members, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols. Delegate tasks effectively and manage workflow to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Operate heavy machinery, including ditch witches, mini excavators, excavators, and skid steers, to excavate trenches, install pipes, and backfill trenches in residential plumbing projects. Ensure safe and proper operation of machinery at all times.
  • Oversee the installation of plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drainage systems, and fixtures, in accordance with project plans, blueprints, and specifications. Ensure installations comply with home and building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of completed plumbing installations to verify quality, functionality, and compliance with project requirements. Identify and address any issues or deficiencies promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of installation activities, including work performed, materials used, and machinery usage. Generate documentation as needed for billing, reporting, and compliance purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures at all times during installation activities. Conduct safety briefings, enforce safety protocols, and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members.
Qualificationsfor Lead Plumbing Installer:
  • Hold a valid plumbing license or certification required for plumbing installation work in the residential sector. Familiarity with local building codes and regulations is essential.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential plumbing installation, with demonstrated proficiency in operating heavy machinery and leading installation teams.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate, inspire, and mentor team members. Experience in delegating tasks, managing priorities, and resolving conflicts effectively.
  • Proficiency in operating ditch witches, mini excavators, excavators, and skid steers to excavate trenches, install pipes, and backfill trenches in plumbing installation projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of residential plumbing systems, fixtures, and materials. Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans accurately.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. Ability to interact professionally with clients, understand their needs, and address their concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety regulations and procedures. Familiarity with OSHA guidelines and best practices for heavy machinery operation and workplace safety.
  • Flexibility to work in various residential settings and adapt to changing project requirements and schedules.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with plumbing installation and machinery operation, including lifting 50 lbs, working in confined spaces, and operating hand and power tools safely.
