THE ROLE
The busy Hilton Hotel and conference center in College Station is now hiring Sales Managers to work closely with our team for group and industry meeting and event planning. Manage our existing portfolios while you build new business
The Hilton College Station has more than 300 guest rooms and 27,000 sq ft of event space. Rooftop bar and new restaurant opening soon!
Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in assigned market. Develop and implement a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of sales goals and profitability to exceed revenue matrixes, gain market share, and grow new account business.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:
Develop a marketing strategy to analyze historical, current and future hotel/market trends and create a selling strategy to balance hotel objectives and maximize revenue potentials.
Identify business opportunities by being aware of prospective clients and evaluating their position in the marketplace to leverage the sales relationship to maximize revenue.
Maximize current hotel key accounts by identifying and capturing those that offer revenue growth.
Develops customer profiles and maintains an effective trace system, including trace dates and references, to best meet client needs, resulting in superior account service and increased revenues.
Schedule conventions and/or business group activities at the hotel and coordinate with other hotel and departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the Sales office and prospective clients.
Maintain well-documented, accurate, organized and up-to-date file management system to serve client and employer in the most expedient, organized, and knowledgeable manner.
Develop strong customer relationships through frequent communication and the use of professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interaction.
Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products and services to include marketing strategy, sales techniques, and tactics to capitalize on profit margins.
Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community.
Skills and Abilities:
Hotel experience in a sales or leadership role
Excel and other Microsoft programs
Knowledge in the use of Delphi and OnQ computers software
Extensive knowledge of negotiating and sales procedures associated with the hotel industry.
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills sufficient to produce sales and marketing communication that properly reflect the Foundation Image.
Ability to delegate, manage manpower and organize complex projects and establishes priorities consistent with department/hotel
.Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests.
