Quality Control Inspector (Concrete) II

Essential Functions

• Maintains QC Inspector daily report of assigned work activities, contactor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified, and measurements of completed work to date.
• Observes and documents onsite testing verification.
• Verification of compliance with plans, specifications, and codes;
• Evaluation of concrete construction in the field;
• Documentation and reporting of inspection results; and
• Proficiency in appropriate areas of concrete construction inspection
• Verifying consistency of concrete mixes in accordance with approved mix designs.

Working Conditions

• The majority of work is completed on the job site. Due to daily condition changes on construction projects, when employees are outside of the office trailer or structure, they must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required by the company's safety policies and as required for weather conditions.
• Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions

• Standing-prolonged periods of time
• Ability to work days, nights and weekends as required.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in inspecting concrete related construction activities.
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I certification
• Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, codes and contract requirements.
• Ability to perform in-process inspections and effectively communicate results.
• Familiar with electronic data collection and inspection methods.
• Demonstrates proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook).
