IT Mobile Device Technician
Location: Detroit - This role will be out in the field going to different Service centers. Mileage will be reimbursed.
This will not be an "in office/desk" role. The individual must be ok with being on the road/in the field.
Job Description:
In field technical support of various Panasonic Toughbook (MDT) and supporting infrastructure located and described in Appendix A including, docks, stands, wiring harnesses and 12 volt system.
Key Accountabilities
• Basic Troubleshooting
• Primary Applications (ADMS ClickSoft)
• Mapping within Primary Applications
• MDT Diagnostic Tool (Netmotion)
• Vehicle wiring
• Voltage Checking
• Desktop Apps (MDT Diagnosis Tool, MDT Printer set up, Mappoint, GT Viewer)
• Hardware review of different MDT’s
• Review of docking solutions and reoccurring challenges
• Bios Settings
• General MDT repair (Replacement of CMOS, hard drive, screen protector, main battery, internal modem, internal GPS replacement)
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
• Associates degree in related field and 1-2 years experience or a High School diploma or GED and 3-5 years prior experience.

• Oral/written communication skills.
• Work as a team member and support multiple clients.
• Intermediate problem solving skills.
• Intermediate computer skills (word, excel).
Other Requirements
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Valid drivers license
• Reliable transportation which can carry 300 lbs.
• Customer support skills and phone skills.
• Knowledge and familiarity with PC setup and installation of software.
• Able to use basic test equipment such as: VOM, T1 tester, fiber tester, data circuit tester, RF wattmeter, RF service monitor, Antenna tester, protocol analyizer, spectrum analyzer.
• Provides 24 x 7 trouble response when needed.
• Passes initial Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screens and random drug testing
• Proficient verbal, written and presentation skills; communicates clearly, with credibility and confidence
• Promotes an atmosphere that supports the open exchange of new ideas
• Deals effectively with resistance and takes positive steps to avoid the recurrence of errors through constructive critique
• Possesses well-developed organizational and planning skills
